What is the circadian rhythm?
Your circadian rhythm is an internal 24-hour biological clock that regulates sleep-wake cycles, hormone release, body temperature, and digestion. Without light cues, the human clock drifts β most people's internal cycle runs slightly longer than 24 hours (24.2 hours on average), which is why jet lag going west is easier than going east.
